The following document is the collective experience and wisdom gathered by the members of the Companions of St. Luke ~ OSB over the last ten years. The Customary (like the Constitution) reflect a living and breathing document of a Benedictine experience rooted in our Baptismal Vows and articulated through the wisdom of St. Benedict. While the vocation to Religious Life isn’t new, our journey into the third millennium is. It is made new by our times and the experiences we share as a Community searching to express itself within a timeless spirituality. and Hospitality….. Employing a ministry of prayer, teaching, preaching and giving of retreats….. Commit its resources to the Church for the spreading of the Gospel
through the use and wisdom of Benedictine Spirituality. May all those who knock on our door be received as Christ.
May our prayers be linked with those on earth and with those who have gone before.
May these collected prayers be spent from the treasury of God’s economy for Salvation.
