Natural Greeting Cards

 The
mission of Natural Greeting Cards is to make available greeting cards
that are appealing to the senses and respectful of the earth.
About:
I created Natural Greeting Cards as
a result of experiments using natural materials in my artwork. By
restricting my colors and textures to those that occur in the natural
world, I found that the work became calmer and more restful. Like most
of us, I am seeking ways to live with less complication and fewer needs,
and my artwork was reflecting that impulse. I found that as my artwork
became simpler and less cluttered, it evoked a natural serenity.
Increasingly I found myself collecting my
art supplies from the woods, meadows, garden and shore near my home.
All materials are clean and preserved hygienically, while maintaining
their natural form and color as much as possible.
Like most of us, I am also eager to find
ways of walking more gently on God’s earth. I began to recycle my own
paper creating an endless variety of textures and incorporating many of
the gifts of nature in the process. I located a source for card blanks
and envelopes that uses 100% post consumer paper in its production, and
Natural Gift Cards came into being.
All proceeds from the sale of Natural
Greeting Cards through the website of the Companions of St. Luke
remain with the Community.
